Scott Brooks Scott Brooks grew up in Randallstown, MD, a suburb of Baltimore. He has played goalie in midget, high school, college, and for the Maryland Arrows Professional Indoor Lacrosse team. Scott attended Bethany College from 1974-1978 and was Team Captain his Sophomore, Jr. and Sr. year.  Scott was a Division 3 All-American his Sr. year and All-Midwest Goalie his Sophomore, Jr. and Sr. years. He was voted MVP of for his college team his Jr. and Sr. years.  The Maryland Arrows was the first try by Lacrosse enthusiasts at a professional indoor lacrosse league, the league only lasted 2 seasons. Scott played one year as a goalie in the winter of 78-79 after which he moved California for his degree in law in the fall of 79. While in California in 1979 he began playing goalie for the Orange County Men's Lacrosse Club Coached by Bob Davis (a pioneer of Lacrosse in the Orange County/LA) and he also played along side Coach Ray Ralph.  Scott continued to play as goalie until his son Ryan was born in 1987 and then returned to play goalie for a period of time from 1994-1996.  During 1979-1987, while goalie, the Orange County Men's Club Lacrosse team won 5 California State Men's Club titles and two Western States Championships in '80 and '81 beating the overly favored Canadian National Team at Stanford University in 1980 for the championship.

Scott was a head coach for the Orange Chiefs Football Team from 1996-1999 and has also coached Foothill High School's Freshman Football team. In addition, Scott has also helped to coach both Foothill High School's Varsity Football and Varsity Lacrosse teams, of which his son, Ryan was a player.

Scott began coaching lacrosse in 2000 as the assistant coach for both the Hewes Middle School and Foothill High School teams. He specializes in coaching defense and goalies. Scott coaches because he loves the sport of lacrosse and being involved with the game. He also enjoys working with youth sports because it gives him the opportunity to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse and sportsmanship at an early age, to allow players to establish a good basis throughout their sports and personal careers. Scott lives in North Tustin with his wife, Pat, and his son and daughter. Scott has been the CEO of a real estate company and is also an attorney at law. In his spare time, he also enjoys boating and camping at the river.

We are glad to be able to welcome Coach Brooks back to Hewes and know it will be an outstanding season with the help of his defense expertise.
