Welcome to
Hewes Lacrosse Club
Hewes Lacrosse 2007-2008 season is winding down. Thanks to all of the families that have made this season another incredible success. To the players that have again showed us that lacrosse is such a fun sport to watch. To the coaches, we owe our gratitude for teaching our kids a sport that most of us have never played and still barely have an understanding of the rules. To all of the parent volunteers, a big thank you for making another season run smoothly! We hope to see you all back next year, if not here at Hewes-- we wish you luck at Foothill!
Dear Parents:
There are three serious problems occurring at the Tustin Sports Park. All three may be police matters. We have Friday and Saturday night games at TSP. We will have playoff games coming up next week on Saturday, Wednesday, and Saturday again on the 8th of March. Please observe these rules:
1. Please tell your children not to urinate on the apartment’s bushes across Keller Street or on the park bushes. Last Friday and Saturday night elementary school lacrosse players in Black jerseys and four young girls in lacrosse jerseys were observed urinating in the bushes. They could have been cited or arrested for indecent exposure and trespassing among other charges. The restrooms are in the main buildings next to the tennis courts north of the parking lot.
2. Parking is only permitted in the spaces designated in the parking lot and not in the fire lane curbs painted red. Parking by special permit is allowed ONLY on the north side of Keller Street adjacent to TSP field 2. Parking is never permitted on the south side of Keller Street next to the apartments. Cars parked there are subject to ticketing and towing.
3. Cars are never permitted to park in the small street entering the PRIVATE PROPERTY of the apartments on the south side of the park and never in the carports or anywhere in the complex of the Mandavilla Apartments across the street from the park. Cars parked there are subject to ticketing and towing. The Watch Commander of the Tustin Police Department has been put on notice and he will send patrol cars to enforce the parking.
It is a privilege to use the park and we do so by permit only. Do not jeopardize our continued use of the park for failure to observe the above rules and restrictions. Violators will be banned from our program. Thank you for your cooperation and consideration of this matter.
Hank Nuñez
Boys Youth Commissioner
P.S. Parents, dogs are not permitted on the fields at TSP or at any school property of any district at any time. Dogs on leashes are permitted at TSP only on the paved paths that are on the perimeter of the fields. The city provides the blue plastic bags for your convenience at various locations throughout the park.
